Hi Mariela, You might want to check local wedding dress shops or consignment shops to see if they are interested in purchasing your dress. Selling your dress on Ebay or by placing an ad in you local paper is another option. There are also online venues for selling wedding dresses such as PreOwned Wedding Dresses.com. Best wishes!
-- Contributed by: Amy FinleyI want to sell my wedding dress. I got married a month ago and I want to sell it. I purchased it at David's Bridal. I just took it to the Dry Cleaner and it is perfect. I would like to sell it to a wedding gown rental. Please let me know if you know a company or a person who can buy it.
-- Contributed by: MarielaVeronica - You can place a classified in your local paper looking for a bride who may be willing to rent her gown to you, or you can search your local yellow pages for options. Some boutiques may be willing to rent sample gowns as well; it never hurts to call and ask, and they may have additional options to share.
-- Contributed by: Melissa MayntzI'm looking for a wedding gown rental company... I've search the net and nothing valid comes up only dead links to discount dresses. I would like to find a beautiful expense dress to make me feel like queen for the day and then send it back... is this possible or am I reaching? Please e-mail links if available.
6 months until wedding day
-- Contributed by: VeronicaKaili - I'm sorry, we are not a rental agency and are not affiliated with specific retailers. You can look in your local yellow pages to find one that may have gowns you could use for the shoot.
-- Contributed by: Melissa MayntzWhere can I see pics. of dresses you rent out. I'm interested in something simple for a wedding shoot.
-- Contributed by: KailiI'm sorry, Jerrica, we don't have any pictures similar to what you're considering. You could, however, add red accents such as a sash or other removable details to a white, sleeveless gown that you are able to rent -- that would make it more personal and unique without adding much to the price.
-- Contributed by: Melissa MayntzHi I am getting married in Aug of 08 and am looking to rent a red and white no sleeves wedding dress. Could you please send me some pictures if you have any?
-- Contributed by: Jerrica McClainHayley -- You should have plenty of time to find a lovely dress to rent if that is what you are interested in. Be sure to visit the salons early, though, for the best selection and best prices. Many bridal shops that rent dresses will also rent most everything you need to go with them, including a veil, crinoline for a full skirt, etc. If you have trouble finding long sleeves and a high neck to rent, you can also check thrift stores for cheaper, vintage used wedding dresses with the more conservative styles, or investigate modest wedding dresses for full coverage. Another option is to wear a small coat or shawl with a dress to provide more coverage without needing to limit your options based on which dresses have long sleeves and such. Best of luck!
