Adri - It can take several hours or even a day or two for items to be noted as purchased on a registry. If the problem persists and it is your registry, you can contact the store to report the difficulty. If you've purchased the gifts for a friend, just be sure to keep the gift receipt so they can exchange them easily if they need to.
-- Contributed by: Melissa MayntzI've purchased several things off of the Target registry. None of them are reflected as "purchased" on the registry. How annoying! I am going to a bridal shower, and I expect that there will be many duplicates of what I bought. For ow big Target is, you think they'd invest in a better system.
-- Contributed by: adriThanks for sharing your thoughts, Jennifer - before a couple considers any registry, they should always investigate these types of issues!
-- Contributed by: Melissa MayntzWe all love Target merchandise. However, no one should use their registry. Target's computer system does not regularly update which items have been purchased--so if you register here you can expect to receive duplicate gifts. They are completely inflexible in allowing people to change orders placed online and I've heard that their in-store return policies are also not designed with customer service in mind. I know many people who had problems with Target registries. And don't just take my opinion for it-a google search will turn up many people who have the same complaints I do.
