Chachi - Those sound like lovely colors for a July wedding. The key for summer colors is to have one color be nice and bold, and the dark chocolate hue would do so very well. You can also choose a brighter pink, such as a magenta, for an accent color for more "pop" in the palette. Best wishes!

My wedding is next July and I was looking at the colors ofr Chocolate/Pale Pink/Celedon...would this be good for a July wedding?

Sky - That sounds like a nice, simple color combination and you shouldn't have any trouble with it. Instead of looking for ready-made decorations in sky blue and silver, look for table linens in one or the other, and accessorize with accents. Fuchsia and white will be lovely for a June wedding. You can pair this bright pink with either green or yellow shades, or both for a summery palette. If you include yellow I would suggest going with gold accents to harmonize since yellow is a warm tone -- but a fuchsia, white, and green color scheme can accommodate either gold or silver accents equally well.

A great color to go with sage or mint green for a summer wedding is watermelon. This rich shade is bright and fun for a beach wedding but also elegant! hello, i'm having a beach wedding in october and need a color scheme..i was leaning towards sage green and not sure what else.

I really love the color fuchsia over a pale pink and have thought of doing fuchsia and white as a June wedding. Are they too extreme opposites? What should my accent colors be to fuse them together & how can I incorporate it in my decorations & flowers? Maybe yellow or green? And do you suggest silver or gold to match better?

OG - There is no reason why you can't use just two colors for the wedding, but if you'd like a third option I'd recommend something in an autumn rust or orange shade to go with the other two and to match the season as well.

Kandice - The colors you've chosen should be lovely, they're a nice palette to work with. As for star favors, you can choose any type of favor and perhaps use a die cut star favor tag or add star glitter to the tables to have that motif easily if you aren't able to actually find favors. But as for money, it is not appropriate to ask for help, especially just a few weeks from your wedding. If they were willing and able to offer financial assistance for the event, they should have approached you about it earlier in the planning. Instead, consider some cost cutting strategies and making items yourself to still have a beautiful day on a budget. Best wishes!

i need some help..i am planning a wedding alone..i have three colors chocolate rasberry and turqoise..do u think these go well together..i like them we are getting married in june 27 so i dont have much time also i cant seem to find any star favors or anything acually could u help me plus...i will be doing alot by myself and i dont now if i should ask for money from my parents or his they havent offered should i ask them for help

Leticia - That sounds like a lovely color combination, and you can use both in your bouquet (check out Hydrangea Bridal Bouquet for some blue flower ideas). You can also use different shades of blue flowers for your bouquet, or opt for just a champagne/ivory/white bouquet and add some blue details to your dress. You could also have a white bouquet and add blue crystal accents for a unique idea with plenty of sparkle.

I am getting married in September. The colors that I have chosen are Navy Blue (sapphire is my fiance's birthstone) and champagne. Does that go together? Also, what colors would work for my bouquet?

Amanda - Chocolate brown and pink are very trendy colors right now, but the deepest shades are not usually associated with spring colors. You might want to consider more of an espresso or caramel shade for a May wedding, with a lighter shade of pink, though in the end you can choose any colors you'd like. If you use the cream as the biggest color and accent it with the chocolate and pink shades, that will be perfect for a spring wedding. I am getting married in May of 2009. I have heard that a really hot color right now is chocolate brown but would chocolate brown be acceptable in May? The colors I am shooting for are Hot Pink, Chocolate Brown and Cream (or Eggshell) can you give me some advice??

Christy - If you're using a white flower base, you can use any flower color to contrast. Green is a popular option because it is inexpensive (ivy, ferns, etc.) and can be a great accent, or you can incorporate a bit of navy blue into the bouquet as well to coordinate with your dress. Try to keep the colors similar in your bouquet and your bridesmaids bouquets for a nice palette, but the simple colors you've chosen for their attire should look lovely with any flowers.

I am getting married in April and I am having a terible time trying to pick what color flowers will go with my dresses. My dress is white w/ navy blue. My bridesmaids are black skirts w/ silver tops. The groomsmen are wearing black tux w/ silver vests. I have already purchsed some silk flowers. they are white gladiolas and tiger lily. The florists suggest I pick a contrasting color. Araceli - You can choose any colors you like, or you can ask your bridesmaids their opinion on which colors they'd prefer. They can also wear different colors if you'd like that -- if they all have the same style of dress but in different colors, they can all choose a shade that works best for their hair and skin tone.

Jamie - Black is an appropriate wedding color any time of year, and it will be a nice option for your attendants to be able to wear those dresses again. Just be sure that if you're getting married on the beach in the summer that black won't be too hot for them to wear in the sun!

Gaby - You can choose any color combination you like. For an August wedding, you may want darker hues, or if you're in a northern area, you might be able to use Fall Wedding Ideas as well. Hello, I recently got engaged and am planning to have a wedding in June of 2009 (however my fiance wants to get married in October 2008). I am having a hard time picking out colors for my bridesmaid dresses. I will be getting married on the beach and barefoot. I was thinking about black (cotton of course...maybe from J. Crew and having them choose from 3 different styles) but wanted to know your opinion about using the color black. Is that appropriate? Is that a wrong color to use for that time of year? Helen - August is a great time to find fabulous colors. I'd opt for stronger than pastel shades -- bold green, yellows, and reds are fun options. You can also go with medium or dark blues, or if your wedding is in late August, you might investigate some fall wedding ideas. Remember, too, that while it is always nice to coordinate your colors with the season, you don't necessarily have to -- choose colors you love and that will look great on you and your bridesmaids, and create the palatte of your dreams.

Kimberly -- That sounds like a lovely color combination, though it might be more suitable for early fall rather than late summer. If you swapped to emerald and ivory it would be lighter and more summer-y, but of course the whole idea is to create the color palette you love, no matter what the season.

Ayana - White and gold would be lovely for June or early summer; or you can opt for ivory for a bit more of a soft look. You can also add a colored accent in addition to the white and gold that will coordinate well with flowers and other decorations.

These were my wedding colors just three months ago. It gave the ceremony a very dreamy effect! With all the whites and very opulent gold it looks very royal. I did have tiny accents of Royal Purple here and there but not to much. These colors are beautiful
