how about roses or tulips? there are roses in white and in champagne... i wonder how your wedding looks with this flowers.....

Some "in season" flowers you might consider include: Asters and Chrysanthemums and Dahlias. You also might be able to get Calla Lilies without too much trouble that time of year and they are elegant and beautiful. Of course, since many flowers are grown in hothouses, if there is a bloom you really love you can probably find it year round, but it may cost more.
