Mimi Maternity has some really pretty wedding dresses! They are sleeveless but there is one on their website right now that comes with a shawl if you wanted to be a bit more modest. I like the tea length one with the pearl beading, super cute! It's at mimimaternity.com under special occasion.

Hi Fiona,

An experienced seamstress may be able to convert a dress pattern in a design you like to a maternity pattern. Another option for inspiration is www.maternityclothesunlimited.com -- they have some very flattering maternity wedding dress designs. Empire waist patterns are roomier than many other styles, so they are also wonderful design for maternity gowns. Good luck!

Sands -- You can ask a bridal seamstress for advice; they will have ways to alter existing patterns to accommodate a pregnancy without specialized patterns, or you can adapt a regular maternity dress with more luxurious fabrics and accent details to create a lovely and unique wedding gown.

The only purpose to a white wedding dress in modern culture is celebration and joy. Yes, many pregnant brides choose white dresses, but if a bride is uncomfortable with that, she can opt for ivory or a pastel color, or even just add colored accents to a white gown.
