Who let the dogs out

From LoveToKnow Weddings

My sister Desiree planned for the perfect outdoor wedding. Even though the rain the night before had knocked over the reception tent, every available male was there to see that it was righted before the Big Event.

The Perfect Day

It was a wonderful late August day, warm, but not too hot. The wedding and reception were to be held on my sister's future in-laws' land. The dogs were inside, potted flowers lined the aisles and a pond provided an elegant backdrop to the ceremony that was about to take place. My sister thought of everything.

Unwanted Guests

There was no music as Desiree walked down the aisle, but the guests happily obliged by humming "Here Comes the Bride" as she made her grand entrance and everyone stood up to greet her. Soon the sound of cheerful humming was replaced by laughter. My sister may have thought everything, but someone still let the dogs out. As Desiree walked down the aisle a dog bounded beside her on either side, happy to be a part of the festivities. As they recited their vows, the dogs lay at the Happy Couple's feet, one of them blissfully napping on Desiree's wedding gown. When the bride and groom made their exit as husband and wife, the dogs escorted them back up the aisle as if they were invited members of the wedding party.

My sister had everything a bride could want for her special day, sunshine, picturesque scenery, and perfect temperatures. Who knew that briefly, she would be outshined by a couple of four legged friends?
