Many Free Wedding Invitation Ideas Available

Weddings can be very expensive, so when trying to figure out ways to save money, the idea of obtaining free wedding invitation catalogues, free wedding invitation templates, free wedding invitation samples and possibly even 100 percent free wedding invitations can seem like great ideas – especially for the person who is responsible for paying.

Free Catalogues

There are hundreds of companies in existence which sell wedding invitations. With so many companies, there are 100 times as many (or more) actual invitations to consider. Knowing that only one can be chosen, a smart idea is to order several free catalogues which contain pictures and detailed descriptions of the invitations available.

Most catalogues contain information about invitations and how to order them, various items that may be desired to go along with the invitations, such as matching table place cards, thank you notes, and possibly other wedding-related items such as bridesmaid, groomsmen, and wedding guest gift ideas.

Invitation catalogues are usually very well organized and are categorized according to invitation theme, paper size, style and paper color. Free catalogues may also contain sample font styles and also sample text to print on the actual invitations. Catalogues can be obtained by searching on the internet for “wedding invitations,” and most invitation companies have websites which provide instructions on how to order free catalogues by mail.

Free Wedding Invitation Templates

After a specific wedding invitation is chosen, there are few options on how to get the invitations printed with all of the wedding details. The first option is to decide upon the text for the invitations and have the wedding invitation company print them. Once printed, the invitations will be sent via mail to the home of whoever is in charge of sending the invitations to the invited guests. Many companies may also offer to print (for a fee) the wedding invitation envelopes with guests’ addresses.

The second option for printing the text on wedding invitations is to do it on a personal computer printer at home. Once the invitations are in-hand, a wedding invitation template can be chosen, usually for free, from several invitation companies that have websites. For the most part, using an invitation template is easy. They are usually created using Microsoft Word or WordPerfect, and the dimensions of the invitation are input into the program. Then, there are text boxes on the template in which the wedding information will be typed. Once all of the text has been entered, the invitations can be printed on a home printer. Laser printers usually produce the nicest results.

Free Invitation Samples

The wedding invitation industry is a competitive one, so most invitation companies are happy to send a few free invitation samples via the mail before a final purchasing decision has been made. Most companies prefer that shoppers narrow their choices down to two or three choices before the free samples are sent. In other words, they are usually reluctant to send more than just a few samples.

However, the companies want to make shopping for invitations as easy as possible, so most probably have a customer service representative who can help make the decision easier. Most companies have toll-free phone numbers and/or a customer service department that responds to e-mail inquiries.

Evite

For anyone wanting to use 100 percent free invitations to their wedding, Evite is a great option. Evite is a free service that allows people to send electronic invitations to anyone via e-mail. The Evite system serves as a party-planning device because it guides the user through a planning process, allows the user to manage their guest list, and alerts the user any time a person RSVPs for the event.

Evite is used by millions of people all over the world to plan and invite guests to events such as small parties, large gatherings, birthday festivities, and even weddings.
